Dusty Pottery

My name is Bena, I am an illustrator, graphic designer, calligraphist and bottle painter. I graduated with a Master's Degree in Fine Art from the University of Leeds UK in 2003 and pursued my career as an illustrator and designer throughout the years.

This recent project that I am working on is to hand paint bottles and tiles with illustrations of flowers from Western Australia and calligraphies with ceramic paints. I am planning to sell these personalised hand-painted dispense bottles and tiles in the market. People can first pick a pre-drawn bottle or tiles, I can then print their names or address or any wordings at the spot, which would take about 10-15 minutes. Customers can then take home their unique personalised bottle and door plates.

Furthermore, I worked as a calligraphy artist for an Australian Christmas ornament company last year, so I believed this experience would help in the success of this project. It would be an exciting and challenging experience for me and the handcraft lovers.
