Re-creating mundane stagnant existing steel and giving it a newfound life in way of fauna, flora or emotions, Michelle began her artwork as a hobby in her original hometown of South Australia. “Living existence’’ came about from a concept of remaining present in life, seeing the beauty in everyday and doing what you love always.
Now living in Carnarvon, Western Australia Michelle gains inspiration from the stunning western coastline, its strong determined people and incredibly beautiful wildlife. Every piece of hers is unique with its own persona as she dislikes repetition, always wanting to create something different with each creature, plant or emotion.
Her work remains made of recycled materials, having a strong passion toward a minimalist life and also a focus on reducing waste.
Living existence will always question if you are living or merely existing and will always keep searching the wonder in this world.
