Welcome to Butterfly Quilts.

My name is Vanessa and I took my first quilting class in 1991, and since then have come to love all things quilts! I have been a professional machine quilter for 12 years and have recently upgraded my hand-guided quilting machine to a computer-guided version.

What do I love about quilting? There is something so satisfying about seeing small pieces of material come together to create a visually stunning piece, and the quilting process brings these fabrics to life.

My favourite part of the quilting process is sewing binding on to a completed quilt- I love to see the finished product, waiting to go to a new home to be enjoyed and loved.
