Bags and Such

We are a group of friends who have been supporting orphanages in Taunggyi, Myanmar with annual donation of rice (the staple food of people in the area) to 44 orphanages/boarding house with 1300 children in 2016. We work through the Catholic church in Taunggyi which cares for these orphanages. Taunggyi is in the mountainous Shan State where there are many indigenous ethnic groups who are very poor and marginalized.

Our group (all volunteers) raise funds through donations of friends and family as well as sale of handmade products. In addition to helping the orphans, we support disadvantaged women whom we pay to sew our products so that they may earn an income. We sell our products at charity and market fairs. All proceeds go to our charity efforts.
