Mud Studio

Mud Studio is a new collective of functional ceramics and abstract paintings created by designer and photographer Tina Urie. The aim is create beautiful unique products that can be used and enjoyed everyday.

Functional ceramics are created from a variety of wheel throwing, hand building and slip casting then finished with specialty glazes or patterns created from tissue transfers. Every item is unique with it’s own personality and quirks.

Original abstract paintings (acrylic and mixed media) usually begin life as “warm ups” for my larger pieces. These miniature paintings come matted ready to pop into a frame and look great when hung together as a series.
