I have been sewing since I was about 7 after helping my Nanna mend clothes around the kitchen table. I was given the off cuts from jeans hems and fondly remember how it made a groovy library bag. After 20 years teaching Home Economics I decided I needed to have a change and do what I love to do.... sew! I then started Lari Designs, a small clothing brand made by hand in my shed studio in Argyle, Donnybrook.
The clothes are made from predominantly natural fibres in loose fitting styles. The simple clean lines allow the clothes to stand the test of time and fashion. I take inspiration from the clean cut style of Japanese designers and the ability to wear clothes across all seasons by layering.
