...by Helga

As you may gather my name is Helga. I was born in Norway but now live in Perth Western Australia. I started making handbags out of old jeans and other recycled fabrics. At the moment I knit and felt the bags and use belts and other recycled materials. The name Vesker is norwegian for handbags.
5 years ago I started spending a lot of time in East Timor, and on my numerous walks on the beach I came upon sea glass in many different colours and shapes. This inspired me to start making jewellery which I called sjøskatt (treasure from the sea). All my jewellery are made out of sterling silver, some with stones, sea glass, semiprecious stones and freshwater pearls.
