Casey Thornton is an emerging artist from the Wheatbelt town of Narrogin, Western Australia. She is currently living and working in Perth after graduating from a Bachelor of Fine Art at Curtin University in 2013.
After working across a diverse range of media, Thornton has discovered an intense fascination with the worn object, creating intricate and intimate handcrafted jewellery which explores the unique dichotomy of natural and urban landscapes within the Australian environment.
Thornton has participated in a number of group exhibitions across Perth and Regional Western Australia, including shows at Curtin University, the Central Institute of Technology and the Art Gallery of Western Australia.
She is currently studying a Bachelor of Visual Culture, working towards establishing a studio and developing a body of work in preparation for her first solo exhibition.
