Meet The Maker!

Miranda Skye Jewellery is a family owned business run by Misha (8) and Paige (10) with some help from their Dad. Misha and Paige create earrings, pendants and rings using resin in a range of bright colours and shapes.

How'd you get into making?

"We stumbled over making jewellery after we had done a project with dad making a night light project out of resin. We had some leftover resin and decided to use ice cube trays to make some small pendant jewellery. We thought it was going to be hard, however, after plenty of trial and error, we started to get good at it! Our mum was really impressed by the quality of our items and would proudly wear our products."

What's your best advice for new makers?

"Work hard at your business early and speak to other market stall holders to understand all the intricacies of payment systems, market stall necessities, and how best to market your products."

What do you love most about Perth Makers Market?

"The variety of people who come and buy our jewellery. Also, seeing the bright smile on people's faces having just bought one of our creations and treasuring their purchase."
